The increased role of women in combat, the growth in engagement by the National Guard, and the development of military technology can be traced to actions of that time. Mr. Jones will discuss this influence and talk about the similarities and differences between the military of today and the Vietnam era. A sample of typical Vietnamese food will be served. This program is part of the area programming being presented in conjunction with "The Wall that Heals" traveling exhibit being hosted by the Decatur Public Library May 16-19.
