Who We Are
The Mt. Zion District Library is a tax supported library serving a population base of 11,722 (according to the last census). There are approximately 30,000 plus items in the collection which includes print books, magazines, books on cds, music cds, DVDs and VHS tapes. We are a member of Rolling Prairie Library System. If you don't see what you want on the shelf, the library staff will be happy to place a request or locate it system or statewide.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Mt. Zion District Library is committed to gathering, preserving, and providing information which allows residents to be informed, knowledgeable, and competitive in the world around them. Its mission is to promote full and equal access to information and ideas which support formal education, independent learning opportunities, and life enrichment materials by providing quality service to all residents of the district.
VISION STATEMENT
Mt. Zion District Library will become the primary public gateway providing information vital to the educational, economic, and social growth of all members of the Mt. Zion area. The library will attend to providing programs which respond to the community's needs for life enrichment activities and become a source of community-oriented information and independent learning.
